    Hi there!
I was able to spend a little bit more time to start reading and enjoying your blog today. I’d like to say THANK YOU for whatever that you’ve been writing about Jakarta, Bogor, Jogja etc. It really is hard to live in a city like Jakarta, but thankfully you have been able to enjoy it somehow in someway 😉
Needless to say, I’m too just as sad as you are when I find animals treated unhumanely. I hope more people can expose these kinds of stories to the world.

On the bright side, I am lost here. Did one of you leave Jakarta already? I hope one of you are staying as I truly enjoy your writings.
I live in Cipete, I go to Kemang very often or SoHo (yes I love it but JAUH YEEEE)
May I suggest you to try a local salon, by now you’d know how addicted we are to beauty salon and spa treatments, enjoy yourself one day at ITJE HER SALON its located on cipete raya (ask your friends for directions) tips: weekends are usually full, try to go on weekdays after lunch when moms already left to pick up their children from nearby school
Cipete Raya is starting to be busy like kemang, but no BARS, enjoy their restaurants and cafe when you have time.

Looking forward to your next writing ladies 😉

Thanks so much for your lovely message Dina and sorry it has taken so long to reply! We are both in Melbourne at the moment for Christmas – enjoying the sunshine, family and friends here, but we both miss the chaos of Jakarta – that place is addictive and I (tasha) am lost without an Ojek in Melbourne! wkwkkwkw

Treen will be back in Jakarta soon so I will make sure she visits the salon you mentioned (I will be in Melbourne and very jealous of her!).

Thanks again for reading our blog, hope you have enjoyed it as much as we have loved being in your amazing city.

Wishing you love, laughter and happiness for 2012.

I don’t like it either! It makes me so sad.. I haven’t seen too many around lately, not like when I first arrived here… I hope they are cutting down on this rather than just moving it somewhere else. I want to grab the monkeys and set them free when I see this 🙁

  3. i was quite angry to myself watching this monkey trained

Me too!!! I want to cry and set the monkeys free whenever I see them! I wanted to visit the monkey training centre to see how these monkeys are treated during training but thought I may get too upset and angry if I visited there…. 🙁
